Two Columbia Restaurants Nominated for RAM Awards

Frisco Tap House and Brewery and Aida Bistro and Wine Bar have been nominated for awards by the Restaurant Association of Maryland.

At the 57th annual Industry Awards Gala last year one Columbia restaurant was lucky enough to take home a prize. Victoria's Gastro Pub won for wine and beverage program of the year.

This year, Columbia culinary experts will have another shot—two restaurants have been nominated for awards by the Restaurant Association of Maryland.

Frisco Tap House and Brewery, on Dobbin Road, known for its wide selection of beer, is nominated for the craft brew program of the year, and AIDA Bistro and Wine Bar, on Columbia Gateway Drive, is nominated for wine and beverage program of the year.  The restaurant has an unusual wines-on-tap offering.

Public voting for restaurants is taking place right now at the Association's website. The awards will be presented on April 16. Other categories include favorite restaurant, favorite new restaurant, chef of the year, favorite bar or tavern, favorite food truck, allied member of the year, and restaurateur of the year.

The Restaurant Association of Maryland is a trade association that promotes the food service industry in the state, according to its website. It has over 2,000 members statewide.
