Today in Columbia: Rain, Open House, College Kudos

College Kudos:

Two Columbia residents have been named to Washington College's Dean's List for the fall semester, according to readMedia Newswire.

Freshman Rachel Thompson, daughter of Pamel L. Jones, and senior biology and psychology major Emilie Groves, daughter of Debbi Anceravage, received the honor for earning a grade-point average of at least 3.4 (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Washington College is a private, independent liberal arts and sciences college in Chestertown, MD.

Open House Tonight:

The Columbia Association invites you to stop by an open house tonight to learn more about its plans to improve walking and biking opportunities in town.

Stop by the Slayton House between 7:30 and 9 p.m. tonight to meet the Connecting Columbia project team and to offer your suggestions for the plan.
