HCC broke ground on the health sciences building last January and construction is expected to be completed in spring 2013, HCC officials said. The 112,776 square foot building will cost $50 million to build, furnish and equip. That funding will be provided by the state and county, but the college is continuing to seek private donations for other aspects of the facility, like staffing the facility and establishing the new student programs the facility will offer.
