HAVE A RENDEZVOUS WITH THE FAMILY

Owen Brown Community Center in Columbia is hosting a valentine event on Feb. 11 that the whole family can enjoy. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. Kids will have a great time doing different crafts while the adults have wine and chocolate fondue! Adults pay $2.50 and children are free.  Call 410-381-0202 to register for this family friendly event!

BE THE BELLE OF THE BALL

Enjoy dinner and dancing while honoring the Maryland National Guard.  Come out for a night of dinner and dancing at the Sheraton Columbia Town Center Hotel on Saturday, Feb. 12 and help military families and Howard County charities. The event is hosted by the Columbia Town Center Rotary Club and tickets cost $100 each. A silent auction will be available along with music by Crabtowne Big Band. Special overnight room rates are also available!

GETAWAY WITH YOUR VALENTINE

Turf Valley in Ellicott City is offering a getaway package that is sure to set the mood for a romantic weekend. A special three-course dinner in Alexandra's Restaurant is sure to please your palates. Spend the night and take advantage of the special rates for king or one-bedroom suites. Then wake the next morning and enjoy breakfast for two in Alexandra's. JAM OF A GOOD TIME FOR YOUTH

Teens 9 through 15 are invited to a teen dance at the Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department on Friday, February 11 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Since a limited number of tickets are available, teens are asked to come at 6:30 p.m., dressed appropriately. Tickets are $10. There will be door prizes and food for sale.  So encourage your teen to get up, mingle with friends and shake a tail feather!
