Music, Dogs and Bowling: Get the Kids Out

Why Go: Get your tickets now for this charity bowling event. All proceeds will go to the John's Hopkins Children's Center Chronic Fatigue Clinic.
Where/When: Columbia Lakefront on Sunday, July 10, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: The Retro-Rockets will be performing some feel-good music from the 1950s and 1960s. Even the little ones can get down to this music!
Where/When: Howard County Fairgrounds at 2210 Fairgrounds Rd in West Friendship on Friday, July 8, Saturday, July 9, and Sunday, July 10, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Go: You and your family can come out and see some of the area's finest canines. Plus there will be vendors on site selling dog supplies and other wares!

Where/When: Howard County Conservancy at 10520 Old Frederick Rd in Woodstock on Saturday, July 9, at 10 a.m.
Why Go: What would you do if you were stuck out in the wild with few supplies? Rich Martin will teach you survival skills, like how to stay warm and build shelter.
Where/When: Brunswick Bowling Center on Sunday, July 10, at 9:30 a.m.
Why Go: If you have a special needs child, this is a great way for him or her to come out and enjoy some camaraderie with other kids! This weekly bowling league will meet for four weeks. Be sure to come early on July 10 for the introductory meeting. (Bowling will begin at 10 a.m.)
Where/When: Meadowbrook Park on Friday, July 8, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: Captain Jack will play some classic rock and pop. Bring your whole family out to this exciting musical event, and enjoy some ice cream while it lasts!
Where/When: PETCO on Saturday, July 9, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Why Go: Learn more about these beloved dogs and how you could possibly adopt one for your own family!

Why Go: Help a worthy cause (the post's projects and other veterans' programs) and munch on a tasty breakfast for 1/3 of the usual cost!
