Man Assaulted and Robbed in Long Reach: Howard County Crime Roundup

LONG REACH: ROBBERY

A robbery Thursday morning in the Columbia village of Long Reach started with two men approaching a male victim and ended with the suspects leaving with money.

The robbery happened at about 11:14 a.m. at or near the intersection of Stonecutter Road and Window Latch Way. The suspects came up to the victim, punched him, demanded money, got the money and then fled on foot southbound toward Tamar Drive, according to police.

WEST FRIENDSHIP: BREAK-IN

Nothing was reported stolen following a break-in on the 3100 block of Fox Valley Drive. The suspect or suspects forced a front door open. Though nothing appeared to be taken, "items were disturbed," police said. The break-in was reported at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24.

WEST FRIENDSHIP: BREAK-IN ATTEMPT

No entry was gained in an attempted break-in on the 14100 block of Rover Mill Road. The suspect or suspects attempted to force a front door open. The attempted break-in happened sometime between 2 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24.

JESSUP: BREAK-IN ATTEMPT

No entry was gained in an attempted break-in on the 8300 block of Barkwood Court. The suspect or suspects tried to get inside by prying a front door. The attempted break-in happened sometime between 6:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24.

JESSUP: VEHICLE THEFT

A blue 2005 Kawasaki was stolen from the 8200 block of Glen Court. It was reported stolen between 1 p.m. and 2:29 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24.
