Long Reach Intruder Caught on Viral Video Sentenced

The man who was knocked out in a viral video of a fight at Long Reach High School pleaded guilty to second-degree assault on Monday.

A Columbia man pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and was sentenced to 60 days in prison for his involvement in a fight at Long Reach High School that was the subject of a viral video in March.

Donnell Maurice Vannison, 41, was pictured in a cell phone video shot at Long Reach High, wearing a mask and confronting a 16-year-old student who subsequently knocked him to the ground with one punch. School officials at the time said the fight may have evolved from an earlier incident involving french fries being thrown at a girl in the cafeteria.
