Howard County Patch sites have a new project, and we’d like your help.

We’re compiling a “bucket list” of things you must do if you are living in, visiting, or just about to move away from Howard County.

We figured this was timely since Howard County has recently been tooting its horn as a good tourism destination.

If you're not from here, we're talking about the locale between Washington, D.C., and Baltimore that has historic downtown Ellicott City, the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia and the Historic Savage Mill, a former textile mill that is now a gathering place of shops, restaurants and cafes.

But on the less obvious side, we’d put Chick ‘N Friends at Columbia’s Long Reach Village Center on any Howard County bucket list, as we would R & R Taqueria in Jessup.

Each Monday, we’ll publish a video profile of one of the places on the Howard County bucket list. You can find all of our “Bucket List” content here.

We’ll be searching through local resources, such as the HowChow blog, which covers food in Howard County, as well as the Howard County Tourism organization, for bucket list suggestions, but we need your help.
