Extreme Cold, Probable Snow into Thursday Morning

The National Weather Service again shows snow in the forecast.

Here we go again.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook, warning of extreme cold temperatures and, yes, snow.

According to NWS, a wind chill advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday. Wind chill advisories are serious business – they are issued only when wind chills could be “life threatening if action is not taken.”

Without the wind chill, temperatures are expected to feel about 17 degrees tonight. With the wind chill factored in, it will feel more like 5 degrees at times.

Then there’s the snow. There is a 70 percent chance of flurries Wednesday night into Thursday morning, according to NWS. The snow should taper off Thursday during the day, when temperatures reach about 26 degrees. They'll drop to the mid-teens at night.

Friday there is again a high chance of snow and, according to NWS, more of a chance that we’ll have some accumulation.  Temperatures will reach the mid-20s during the day, dropping to the high-teens at night.
