Comment: ‘Decorate that tree, don't smoke it!’
Howard County readers get riled up.
Readers took their opinions to Howard County Patch sites this week, flocking most to stories about a Glenelg home invasion, the Salvation Army’s struggle for donations, a reported UFO sighting in Elkridge, Gov. O’ Malley’s thoughts on jobs and new plans for the Wilde Lake Village Center in Columbia.
Police Say Glenelg Home Targeted by Robbers, Reward Offered: “Suggestion: Don't ever open your door to strangers."- Suzanne Waller
UFO Reported in Elkridge: “Ok, wow, this is real easy, folks... I live very close to this area (about a 1/2 mile away, at least as the, uh, 'craft' flies lol), and there was a helicopter canvassing the area Tuesday night from around 10-midnight. The real scary element to this story is the fact that the person making the claim was actually behind the wheel! Decorate that tree, don't smoke it next time!! Happy Holidays... ;*D” - uneverno
Blog: Three Steps Forward, One Step Back "O'Taxey (O'Malley) doesn't have to worry about private sector jobs in Maryland as the state is a federal dependency, largely dependent on federal government jobs to support its tax base."- Bill Bissenas
New Residential Buildings Proposed for Wilde Lake Village Center “No more apartments --- please! Homeownership is the only way to go in Columbia. Make them condo units or townhomes, but no more apartments.” Hmj
Salvation Army Still in Need of Donations “Sorry-- Salvation Army won't ever get my donations. I refuse to support an organization that blatantly discriminates against homosexuals and has a history of anti-LGBT policies. Maybe they could stop spending donation money supporting anti-gay lobbyists and begin focusing on giving to all people regardless of sexual orientation... perhaps that would help them as an organization raise more money for people in need.” Erin McElvaney
