Coho Grill Using Local Produce, Garden Herbs
Howard County Restaurant Weeks continue, and Coho Grill is among the businesses serving some locally-grown food.
The Coho Grill, in the clubhouse of the Hobbit's Glen Golf Club, will be demolished and rebuilt next year, says general manager Ellie Ennis, but not before patrons of the restaurant can get a taste of some local cuisine
Ennis says several of the items on the menu, like the caprese salad and crab cake meal, incorporate local fruits and vegetables with herbs from the garden located right behind the restaurant.
"We're trying to supplement a little bit of our herbs and spices with the fresh produce provided by the local Howard County community," Ennis said.
Coho is offering a lunch special offering three courses off of the Restaurant Weeks menu for $22 and a dinner special with four items for $32.
Other items on the Coho Grill menu this week include Maryland crab soup, honey strawberry chicken and brie, asparagus fries, watermelon feta salad, pork tenderloin glazed with spiced rum BBQ sauce served with coconut risotto, grilled pineapple and warm peach bread pudding.
