Blandair Break-in: Howard County Crime Reports

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department.

 

Columbia

Residential Burglary

Someone smashed the front window of a home in the 5300 block of Light House Court and stole a laptop and jewelry sometime overnight on March 7.

Two laptop computers, a bike, two cameras and an electronic gaming system were stolen from a residence in the 9300 block of Rustling Leaf overnight on March 8 after someone entered through a ground-level basement window .

A resident in the 10300 block of Green Mountain Circle returned home on March 3 and found a laptop missing from his home and a window ajar.

Someone cut the lock and then ransacked a storage shed located in the 7100 block of Winter Rose Path during the day on March 9. Nothing was reported stolen.

The press box to a field at Blandair Park was broken into, but nothing was taken sometime on March 7.

Glenelg

Residential Burglary

Jewelry was stolen from a residence in the 14100 block of Bison Court and police believe someone entered the home from an open basement window sometime around March 9.

Ellicott City

Multiple Break-in Attempts

Someone cut the screens on first floor sliding doors to five different homes in the 10200 block of Globe Drive overnight on March 7. No entry was gained, as all the sliding doors were locked, but pry marks were found on two doors.

Reported Cat Burglary

On March 8, a day before the reported screen cuttings, a homeowner in the same block, at 10200 Globe Drive, reported seeing someone walking up the stairs of a home with a flashlight around 3 a.m. Police reported the person may have entered through an open rear slider, although nothing was stolen.

Residential Burglary

Someone stole a bike from an open garage in the 5100 block of Brady Court sometime between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. on March 8.

Someone broke into a residence in the 10200 block of Berkshire Lane by breaking a rear sliding glass door. Once inside, they located a crowbar inside the home, then used it to break into a lock box hidden in a closet in the master bedroom. Three watches and a diamond engagement ring were taken from the box. The incident happened sometime between March 4 and March 7.

A homeowner spotted a man wearing a baseball cap carrying a flashlight attempt to break into her home located in the 3300 block of Coventry Court and called police. The man ran off, but when police arrived they found pry marks on the door. The incident happened around 1:40 a.m. on March 8.

Indecent Exposure

A white male, with brown hair, wearing all black clothes was seen in a blue sedan with Maryland tags masturbating in front of two young females in the 3100 block of West Springs Drive around 3:30 p.m. on March 10.

so the screen cutting attempted break ins, the cat burglary and the last break in attempt on Coventry court are all in the same small neighborhood, right?
