Bonnie Heneson Receives Trailblazer Award
Bonnie K. Heneson, president of Bonnie Heneson Communications (BHC), which has an office in Columbia, Md., was one of nine recipients of the 2012 Trailblazer Award from The Center Club’s Women in Business Intraclub as part of The Center Club’s 50th anniversary celebration. The award recognizes women in business who have prepared the way for future women in business to be successful.
Heneson, who has more than 30 years of experience in the field, founded BHC in 1990, a full-service public relations, marketing and advertising agency with offices in Owings Mills and Columbia, Md. She has been a marketing and communications consultant and expert to organizations along the Baltimore-Washington corridor, nationally and internationally, in a range of industries including health care, education, religion, nonprofit, real estate and a variety of service industries.
Among her distinctions, Heneson is a three-time recipient of The Daily Record’s Top 100 Women Award, a Top 100 MBE Award winner, a SmartCEO Bravo! Award winner and received an Industry Leader Award for Communications from the YWCA of Central Maryland. In addition to being a board member of the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, Heneson is also on the boards of Towson University’s College of Business and Economics and Community Health Charities. She is a member of Network 2000 and the National Association of Women Business Owners.
